This is a quick read on how to bleach the knots on your lace. Warning: If you are not a licensed stylist do not try these steps. Hair extensions and lace products are too expensive to do trial and error projects.
- Hair Bleach
- Developer (Volume 20 or 30)
- Aluminum Foil
- Mixing Bowl
- Mixing Brush
- Neutralizing Shampoo
- Conditioner
Step 1
Turn either your frontal, closure or lace wig inside out and pin it down to a foam head.
*If your closure has baby hairs, pin them down with clips to make sure they are out of the way.
Step 2
Mix equal parts bleach powder and professional developer in a mixing bowl. Be sure to stir thoroughly until you achieve a lump-free thick consistency.
Step 3.
Now take the mixing and gently dab across the lace, covering all of the knots. Don’t press too hard to avoid mixture leaking through onto the hair
Step 4
Let process for about 30 minutes or until the knots on the closure turn a honey blonde hue similar to the lace.
Step 5
Quickly rinse the closure upside down to avoid getting bleach onto the hair. Then wash with a neutralizing shampoo. Leave on closure for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse out and condition.
